Data visualizations showing my progress toward obtaining a body-weight back squat.
Squat strength
Squat lifts recorded on BTWB. All lifts were converted to an equivalent 1 rep
max back squat. When there were multiple lifts recorded on the same day, only
the lift that equated to the heaviest 1RM BS equivalent was used. A Kalman
filter was applied to the data to smooth out the noise and provide a more
accurate projection of squat strength over time.
Body weight & composition
Total body weight recorded on a Withings Body Smart Scale. The line shown was
smoothed using a seven-day rolling average.
Body composition recorded on a Withings Body Smart Scale, determined as a
ratio of fat mass to total body mass. The line shown was smoothed using a
seven-day rolling average.
BWBS tracker
Projected body weight and back squat weight computed from the plots above.
Body weight was projected using a linear regression model fit to the last 90
days of data. The back squat weight was projected using a Kalman filter model
shown in the first plot above. The first date when the back squat weight
exceeds the body weight is the projected date when a body-weight back squat is
achieved.
